How to apply for Certified Membership
The Certified Professional Forensic Accountant designation is the premier designation of the Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants®. This certification is attained by meeting the eligibility of both education and professional experience.
ICFA membership is open to professionals working in the forensic areal with a minimum of three years experience in the profession or those who have successfully completed the Professional Forensic Accountant® - CPFAcct - program.
The designation approved under examination waiver program is “Certified Professional Forensic Accountant” (CPFAcct.)”. Examination waiver is offered to CA, ACCA, CPA’S and qualified accountants with other designations who have been trained in public practice. The waiver program has a sunset clause and will expire on August 31st,2026.

Membership Fees
- Certification fee for CPFAcct is $480.00.
- Associate Membership fee is $280.00.
- Fellowship fee is $410.00.
- Annual Dues are $70.00.

Designatory Letters
Use of the designatory letters – Certified Professional Forensic Accountant® - CPFAcct. These designatory letters may only be used by members whose membership is in good standing.
